Eriberto Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Edu Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Anísio Pontes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Eger. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Mina Felina sped through Montesclarense E.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Eger. A collision led to Miau Stars getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Manuel Meira hit a great ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Maria Socorro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miau Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maria Socorro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Jarbas Vinhas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edu Prata was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Pedro Luís Arósio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Edu Prata made a huge save. In the 40th minute, Mina Felina made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Eger. Montesclarense E.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 44th minute, Dorian Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Mina Felina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Eger. Montesclarense E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mina Felina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Jarbas Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 59 minutes, Wiliam Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montesclarense E.C. and the Miau Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Damião. When Maurinho da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Miau Stars's protests and gave Maurinho da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when Miau Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Montesclarense E.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Maria Socorro scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Eger, making the score, 1-5. 76 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Eger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anísio Pontes. After a rather tough play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Eusébio Ramalho got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After 86 played minutes Miau Stars got a freekick which was hit by Akira Beatrix. If Anísio Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th match minute, Montesclarense E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. The Montesclarense E.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Miau Stars were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
