Claus Buccino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaetano Rothstein took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vergaray Silva. Vergaray Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Salelles's Geofredo Benito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Randolf Achen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Claus Buccino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vergaray Silva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Vergaray Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Rohner in the 13th minute of the match. Vergaray Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bryan Rohner went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Felipo Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salelles's Vergaray Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaetano Rothstein in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Gaetano Rothstein ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vergaray Silva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Simon Sonevoga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vergaray Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claus Buccino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vergaray Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Charpie in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half Espen Steelers were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geofredo Benito to strike the kick off in the second half. Roberto Radaban was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 51st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Miro Willi charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miro Willi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Espen Steelers's Flavian Fäh was substituted for Miro Willi. In the 54th match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miro Willi to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Claus Buccino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vergaray Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipo Guerrero charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipo Guerrero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Salelles's Vergaray Silva got control of the ball when Bryan Rohner tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Salelles's goalkeeper Vergaray Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claus Buccino. Claus Buccino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Vergaray Silva made a huge save. In the 70th match minute, Salelles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xantalen Verges to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Salelles's Xantalen Verges got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute of the match, Fidel Righetti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vergaray Silva saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 77th minute Geofredo Benito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randolf Achen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Randolf Achen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geofredo Benito in the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavian Fäh to maneuver through the defense. When Roberto Radaban came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Salelles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Radaban couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Flavian Fäh hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Salelles's goalkeeper Vergaray Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaetano Rothstein. Vergaray Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Buccino, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Freeman Mächler took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Vergaray Silva to make any attempt to save it. Espen Steelers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
