Romulo Cordarryl charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romulo Cordarryl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Abuba Akotonon FC's zone, Alfred Markowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Iaki came out of the goal and Alfred Markowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sawino SA getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Filip Falkowski hit a great ball. After 22 minutes, Miguel Merentiel made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sawino SA's Dawid Wozniak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dawid Wozniak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Estevez in the 28th minute of the match. Dawid Wozniak came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Abuba Akotonon FC's Rolando Estevez. But to his dismay, Rolando Estevez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 34th minute, Hipolito Piarres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Alfredo Dunixi hit a great ball. When Filip Falkowski came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Sawino SA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Falkowski couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Hipolito Piarres hit a great ball. Marcin Laskowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Iaki having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Marcin Laskowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Domingos Iaki was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After the first half Abuba Akotonon FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcin Laskowski made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcin Laskowski in the 51st minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Domingos Iaki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sawino SA booed when Abuba Akotonon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Lucero didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Rolando Estevez hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the game, Juliusz Zgonina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sawino SA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abuba Akotonon FC the free kick. In the 62nd minute, Juliusz Zgonina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romulo Cordarryl might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dawid Wozniak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romulo Cordarryl ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the match, Hipolito Piarres notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Sawino SA's Dawid Wozniak. Dawid Wozniak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Domingos Iaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Markowski in the 70th minute of the match. After 72 minutes, Alfredo Dunixi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abuba Akotonon FC and the Sawino SA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hipolito Piarres hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81st match minute, Abuba Akotonon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Cordarryl to maneuver through the defense. Abuba Akotonon FC's Domingos Iaki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcin Laskowski in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sawino SA's zone, Abelardo Lucero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dawid Wozniak came out of the goal and Abelardo Lucero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Alfred Markowski put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Domingos Iaki. The Sawino SA supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Abuba Akotonon FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Abuba Akotonon FC.
