Albin Pumaraboli charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Pumaraboli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes La Serena's Albin Pumaraboli got a free kick in the 12th minute. When 顾响亦 came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the magician under moon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 顾响亦 couldn't finish the play. Prudentio Telaeche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 顾响亦, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes magician under moon got a freekick which was hit by 蔡然夕. If Mark Diaz de León had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute, Albin Pumaraboli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 陈棋西 was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The magician under moon fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when magician under moon's 蔡然夕 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 陈棋西 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Pumaraboli, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Prudentio Telaeche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 蔡然夕 in the 36th minute of play. After 36 minutes, Francisco Alberto Fenieux mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportes La Serena and the magician under moon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Club Deportes La Serena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Alberto Fenieux to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 蔡然夕 in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Prudentio Telaeche saved Club Deportes La Serena from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If 蔡然夕 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes Club Deportes La Serena got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Alberto Fenieux. 武飞耀 hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Mark Diaz de León might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 陈棋西. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mark Diaz de León ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute, Albin Pumaraboli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes La Serena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 胡朋谦 kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, magician under moon's 程适林 got a free kick in the 77th minute. 陈棋西 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Diaz de León, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 武飞耀's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prudentio Telaeche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Club Deportes La Serena's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
