Paul-Émile Halgand's late challenge caught a CANIS LUPUS XTC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul-Émile Halgand helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Real Sociedad's Paul-Émile Halgand got a free kick in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Gaël Moutard notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CANIS LUPUS XTC's Isidro Guillelmus. Isidro Guillelmus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the match, CANIS LUPUS XTC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaël Moutard came free, but Isidro Guillelmus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaël Moutard struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Isidro Guillelmus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Sociedad. Reynald Parrot charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynald Parrot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. German Roano hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Isidro Guillelmus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaël Moutard in the 34th minute of the match. Gaël Moutard took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidro Guillelmus. Isidro Guillelmus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 44th minute, Justin Moissonnier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isidro Guillelmus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaël Moutard, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 52nd minute Gaël Moutard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Guillelmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CANIS LUPUS XTC's Isidro Guillelmus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save CANIS LUPUS XTC from getting a goal against them. Ulises Gonchan made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Sociedad's Étienne Pinelli. Tobias Pelagius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Ginola having to interfere. The Real Sociedad supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Sociedad would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
