A collision led to Academia Monte Gordo getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Norberto Frois hit a great ball. Nuno Vasconcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jari Anzengruber in the 17th minute. After 18 minutes of play, Academica Pulheim's Conny Stober made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Vasconcelos was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Belchior Ribas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. Academia Monte Gordo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Jari Anzengruber scored to the left of an out of position Nuno Vasconcelos, making the score, 3-0. In the 38th minute Christoph Sönksen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes of play, Academica Pulheim's Michael Paziorek made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Vasconcelos was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Academia Monte Gordo's Nuno Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Michael Paziorek tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alwin Korte in the 70th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Nuno Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Jari Anzengruber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academica Pulheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Monte Gordo the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Norberto Frois reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dietrich Heppner. The goal made the score 5-1. Nuno Vasconcelos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conny Stober went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. In the 83rd minute, Jari Anzengruber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Nuno Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Stober, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Nuno Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Schaffert in the 90th minute of the match. The Academia Monte Gordo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuno Vasconcelos should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Academica Pulheim players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
