After the first half Futuros FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Futuros FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Naldo Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Tabor in the 94th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Honorio Tabor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Naldo Martins was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Futuros FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hermosillo FC.
