In the 17thth minute of the game Victorio Norino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INIXET BK's Kåre Blom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Thor Lilja fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INIXET BK's protests and gave Thor Lilja a yellow card for diving instead. Thor Lilja hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Carlos Orlandus lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 23 minutes into the game, one of Hermosillo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, INIXET BK's Magnus Skålberg got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Clodoveo Fanuco. Hermosillo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Per-Arne Alström scored to the left of an out of position Clodoveo Fanuco, making the score, 2-1. 32 minutes into the game, Alfred Larsfelt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INIXET BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hermosillo FC the free kick. When Gavino Lawrence fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hermosillo FC's protests and gave Gavino Lawrence a yellow card for diving instead. Magnus Skålberg, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lennart Sörman made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Eyague in the 51st minute of play forced INIXET BK's goalkeeper Kåre Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Kennet Håkansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INIXET BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 56th minute, Hector Corderro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the game, Hermosillo FC's Victorio Norino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kåre Blom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Kennet Håkansson scored 4-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clodoveo Fanuco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Clodoveo Fanuco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Arne Alström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
