After 2 minutes, Grzegorz Braun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MKS Legion Częstochowa and the Estudiantes de América players grew even worse after the yellow card. Grzegorz Braun kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Grzegorz Giertych made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Argoitz in the 3rd minute of play. Grzegorz Giertych didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filiberto Ourente went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Grzegorz Giertych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Luke, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, MKS Legion Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Argoitz came free, but Grzegorz Giertych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Isaias Cutberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Giertych saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Isaias Cutberto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estudiantes de América fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Argoitz in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grzegorz Giertych prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 24 played minutes MKS Legion Częstochowa got a freekick which was hit by Emil Kalinowski. In the 25th minute, Ezequiel Luke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, MKS Legion Częstochowa's Józef Pilsudski got a free kick in the 26th minute. Grzegorz Giertych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Luke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grzegorz Giertych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Luke, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 31 minutes of play, Estudiantes de América's Ezequiel Luke made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grzegorz Giertych was left in no man's land by his defense there! Filiberto Ourente took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grzegorz Giertych. Grzegorz Giertych dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 39th minute Filiberto Ourente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Giertych saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melchor Evarado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grzegorz Giertych having to interfere. After some careless play in the MKS Legion Częstochowa defense, Filiberto Ourente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grzegorz Giertych. The MKS Legion Częstochowa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grzegorz Giertych should have stopped the shot. Grzegorz Braun was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, MKS Legion Częstochowa's Grzegorz Braun got a free kick in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias Argoitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaias Cutberto got free with Grzegorz Giertych in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Dominik Puchlik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of MKS Legion Częstochowa booed when Estudiantes de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Mon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filiberto Ourente kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Teobald Gaszynski came free, but Adrian Ospetsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of MKS Legion Częstochowa booed when Estudiantes de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Donostia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estudiantes de América's Lino Ekialde was substituted for Isaias Cutberto. Grzegorz Giertych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Evarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Józef Pilsudski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Estudiantes de América could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MKS Legion Częstochowa throughout the match.
