Joel Eutor kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Gugu Aparecido in the 13th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Simon Ihazintu's left hand side. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Simon Ihazintu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Simon Ihazintu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon de Amorim in the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when SHIZUOKA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Baldovino didn't get a good kick on the ball. SHIZUOKA FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Maicon de Amorim 27 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Maicon de Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Simon Ihazintu made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Maicon de Amorim kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Simon Ihazintu. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. Silvano Batista charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvano Batista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes SHIZUOKA FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Batista. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvano Batista to make the kick off. Edvaldo Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Batista in the 54th minute. SHIZUOKA FC's Simon Ihazintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon de Amorim in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Otávio Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Ihazintu was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Simon Ihazintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Chaves in the 69th minute of play. Simon Ihazintu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sérgio Chaves went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sérgio Chaves in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Ihazintu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simon Ihazintu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maicon de Amorim went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Emanuel Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Ihazintu having to interfere. Simon Ihazintu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Sérgio Chaves made a precise shot to the right of Simon Ihazintu. SHIZUOKA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2. Simon Ihazintu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otávio Montenegro went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-2 was the resulting score. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
