With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardinho Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Joaquim Prestes fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's protests and gave Joaquim Prestes a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Prestes. In the 19th minute United FC were awarded a corner. Nardo Torrecilla went to the cornerflag to take it. Bernardinho Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egun Galan, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Luiz Gustavo Torres made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Matthew Vall managed to get in a good position for a shot. United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthew Vall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardinho Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matthew Vall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Egun Galan came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernardinho Borges could save by the left post. Gilson Paraense's late challenge caught a United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilson Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilson Paraense to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร defense, Egun Galan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardinho Borges. The Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardinho Borges should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 1-8 when Egun Galan sped through Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bernardinho Borges. 79 minutes into the match, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goalkeeper Bernardinho Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egun Galan. Nardo Torrecilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bernardinho Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egun Galans short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Bernardinho Borges to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Torres in the 91st minute of play forced United FC's goalkeeper Cisco Rubial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Egun Galan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardinho Borges. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egun Galan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-10. With his leg Bernardinho Borges managed to avoid a goal in the 98thth minute, when United FC's Egun Galan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. United FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
