The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goyo Ponce De Leon in the 4th minute of play forced Staffy Terrier FC's goalkeeper Harry Housham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Daryl Basham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Staffy Terrier FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AGT Team the free kick. Daryl Basham kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charlie Cheeseman in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santxo Soler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the AGT Team defense, Charlie Cheeseman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santxo Soler. The AGT Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santxo Soler should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Staffy Terrier FC's Jerry Horner got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Goyo Ponce De Leon came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the AGT Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Goyo Ponce De Leon couldn't finish the play. AGT Team's Santxo Soler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save AGT Team from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute Andrés Nadal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Housham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goyo Ponce De Leon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Housham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. AGT Team's Santxo Soler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save AGT Team from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charlie Cheeseman to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Cheeseman in the 52nd minute of play forced AGT Team's goalkeeper Santxo Soler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Staffy Terrier FC's goal looked a bit too open when Goyo Ponce De Leon came free, but Harry Housham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Staffy Terrier FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rod Holland to maneuver through the defense. David Rapado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Harry Housham made a huge save. If Andrés Nadal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Jaime Castaño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AGT Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Staffy Terrier FC the free kick. After having played for 70 minutes, Daryl Basham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Staffy Terrier FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daryl Basham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Jerry Horner notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of AGT Team's Santxo Soler. Santxo Soler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Cheeseman in the 75th minute of play forced AGT Team's goalkeeper Santxo Soler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Staffy Terrier FC's attentive Jerry Horner managed to snatch the ball when Andrés Nadal made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. Harry Housham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose-Manuel Benítez, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Staffy Terrier FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose-Manuel Benítez came free, but Harry Housham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Jose-Manuel Benítez notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Staffy Terrier FC's Harry Housham. Harry Housham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 96 played minutes Staffy Terrier FC got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Cheeseman. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Staffy Terrier FC had won after a very even match.
