An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Maju in the 3rd minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Santos Balbanea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos Balbanea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Gomesano in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the Montevideo City Torque defense, Jonatan Maju kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santos Balbanea. The Montevideo City Torque fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santos Balbanea should have stopped the shot. When Evis Espelz fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montevideo City Torque's protests and gave Evis Espelz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Montevideo City Torque's Evis Espelz got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Jonatan Maju sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santos Balbanea skillfully saved the ball. In the 14th match minute, Montevideo City Torque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerico Villafana to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerold Avila got free with Tomas Mambru in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 30 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Patxi came free, but Santos Balbanea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Momentum FC's Jonatan Maju nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santos Balbanea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Santos Balbanea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Salvino in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Montevideo City Torque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valerio Arzuriaga to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Ibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Santos Balbanea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonatan Maju in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Balbanea saved Montevideo City Torque from getting behind.
The wind increased when Jerold Avila made the kick off in the second half. Jonatan Maju in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Santos Balbanea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Momentum FC's Alfonso Jakes got a free kick in the 56th minute. With an all-out effort, Momentum FC's Santos Balbanea threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Celestino Salvino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 61 minutes into the match, Vicente Ibar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santos Balbanea. Montevideo City Torque's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vicente Ibar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Santos Balbanea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Ibar in the 64th minute. When Porfirio Garza fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montevideo City Torque's protests and gave Porfirio Garza a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Momentum FC booed when Montevideo City Torque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Porfirio Garza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos Balbanea acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jonatan Maju. Montevideo City Torque's Santos Balbanea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Ibar in the 70th minute of play. Jerold Avila took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomas Mambru. Tomas Mambru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 76 minutes into the game, Vicente Ibar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Santos Balbanea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Montevideo City Torque's Santos Balbanea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Gomesano in the 78th minute of play. Santos Balbanea made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Jonatan Maju sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the game, Ignacio Patxi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Santos Balbanea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's goal looked a bit too open when Celestino Salvino came free, but Santos Balbanea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th play minute Vicente Ibar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Santos Balbanea. 1-6. In the 88th minute, Harri Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Ibar got free with Santos Balbanea in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Montevideo City Torque's Santos Balbanea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Montevideo City Torque from getting a goal against them. Santos Balbanea was a little too slow when Celestino Salvino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 1-7.
