The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Marian Podgoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christijan Oss in the 3rd minute of play. Jochem Oosterbaan scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marian Podgoreanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iulian Bucurescu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, one of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marian Podgoreanu went to the wrong direction when Christijan Oss was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Christijan Oss in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marian Podgoreanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Iulian Bucurescu kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Marian Podgoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Post in the 22nd minute of play. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Marian Podgoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diderik Dirks in the 26th minute of play. Iulian Bucurescu's late challenge caught a Decathlon Dudes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iulian Bucurescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Marian Enășoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Finteșteanu made a kick off. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christijan Oss was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. A nice corner shot did that Diderik Dirks got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marian Podgoreanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christijan Oss in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marian Podgoreanu saved FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting behind.
