The supporters of Granate booed when Zelg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilles Clerc didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Galtero in the 17th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Irwin Monney made a great header on Zelg FC's corner, it was just that Granate's Sixto Quinten managed to reach the ball for a save. Gerardo Joseph charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Zelg FC's Gilles Clerc got a free kick in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Herz was the one to do the kick off. In the 70th minute, Eriberto Olando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixto Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Herz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 73 minutes into the match, Jonas Herz notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Granate's Sixto Quinten. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Herz in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixto Quinten saved Granate from getting behind. 95 minutes into the game, Eriberto Olando threw the ball into play from the sideline. Zelg FC's Stephan Eichenberger quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zelg FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
