After 3 played minutes, HollywooDogs's Ademar Santana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Melquiades Salvatore came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in HollywooDogs reached it. In the 6th minute, Severino Furlan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Salvatore was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Melquiades Salvatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Furlan in the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Anselmo Sarracino got a free kick in the 9th minute. Régis Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Luiz Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Sarracino got free with Willian Ribeiro in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Atlanta defense, Régis Batista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melquiades Salvatore. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Salvatore should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when HollywooDogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Furlan during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, HollywooDogs's Severino Furlan got a free kick in the 31st minute. Manoel Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Melquiades Salvatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Severino Furlan made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Salvatore. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Furlan in the 44th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Melquiades Salvatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Severino Furlan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HollywooDogs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After the first half HollywooDogs were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. Melquiades Salvatore was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Severino Furlan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Severino Furlan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Hugo Jerrold lost his temper 74 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Club Atlético Atlanta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of HollywooDogs:s goal. 78 minutes into the match, Samuca Donatello dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Melquiades Salvatore, 0-8. Melquiades Salvatore stood somewhat misplaced when Severino Furlan came free in front of goal and shot 0-9 to the left of him in the 82 minute. After 85 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Donato Nalo. Severino Furlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Melquiades Salvatore made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Samuca Donatello kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Melquiades Salvatore. That made the score 0-10 in the 88 minute of play. Melquiades Salvatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Furlan in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Salvatore saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. HollywooDogs's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
