After 20 played minutes CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Valle. After a defensive mix-up in CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's zone, César Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Duardo came out of the goal and César Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA booed when BRASIL.Sp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. BRASIL.Sp's Cipriano do Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ramón Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Albuquerque in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA were awarded a corner. Edison Brena went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Zeledon Soter managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience was convinced that Cipriano do Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Duardo was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 85th minute, Carlos Fernando Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Ramón Neto. BRASIL.Sp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.
