In the 6th minute of the match ITAFUT 4EVER got a corner. Merengue FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zoltán Zavadszky ran over to the corner to take the kick. 7 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Baggio came free, but Bayan Gugovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merengue FC's Bayan Gugovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Baggio in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Bertassi in the 8th minute of play forced Merengue FC's goalkeeper Bayan Gugovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Portugal in the 13th minute of play forced Merengue FC's goalkeeper Bayan Gugovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bayan Gugovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Portugal in the 16th minute of play. Bayan Gugovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Baggio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denílson Palmeira charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denílson Palmeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd match minute, ITAFUT 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Marcos Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half ITAFUT 4EVER were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aquiles Urtsin to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, ITAFUT 4EVER's Denílson Palmeira got a free kick in the 56th minute. Bayan Gugovski was a little too slow when Jardel Baggio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-2. 71 minutes into the match, ITAFUT 4EVER's Marcos Fantini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bayan Gugovski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Darwin Núñez fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merengue FC's protests and gave Darwin Núñez a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Merengue FC's Darwin Núñez got a free kick in the 76th minute. ITAFUT 4EVER made a substitution. Raphael Fenton replaced Marcos Fantini. ITAFUT 4EVER made a substitution. Cauan Loyola replaced Jardel Baggio. ITAFUT 4EVER's Tora Raba was substituted for Sidney Bertassi. A collision led to Merengue FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Darwin Núñez hit a great ball. In the 79th minute of the match ITAFUT 4EVER got a corner. Merengue FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dalmo Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darwin Núñez in the 85th minute of play. If Raphael Fenton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Tasso came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Merengue FC's Aquiles Urtsin. But to his dismay, Aquiles Urtsin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The ITAFUT 4EVER supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ITAFUT 4EVER would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
