The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Cayetano Quinito got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 9 minutes into the match. Cristo Faron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Benjamin Tino made a huge save. With a little luck, Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino got control of the ball when Cristo Faron tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cornelio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pajo Pajot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Epifanio Txomin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benjamin Tino. The goal made the score 2-0. Cornelio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pajo Pajot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Club El Progreso's Cleto Cordaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Cordearo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Kranevitter in the 34th minute of play. Cristo Faron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Benjamin Tino made a huge save. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Epifanio Txomin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cornelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Cordaro in the 58th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matías Kranevitter. Epifanio Txomin might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Tino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Epifanio Txomin ran back to his position shaking his head. Racing Club's Luciano Pirro was substituted for Epifanio Txomin. Matia Aranzabal made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bonifacio Txindoki however managed to control. A collision led to Club El Progreso getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Matia Aranzabal hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Club El Progreso defense, Luciano Pirro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Tino. The Club El Progreso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Tino should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club El Progreso players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Racing Club.
