The Rafaela FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ekipa Damcia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sérgio Jacinto in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inocencio Veronica saved Rafaela FC from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Higinio Dolfo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giancarlo Donnarumma. Ekipa Damcia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Higinio Dolfo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Inocencio Veronica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Jacinto in the 25th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Ekipa Damcia got a freekick which was hit by Tymoteusz Serwach. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ryszard Bochinski during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Ekipa Damcia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rafaela FC:s goal. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rafaela FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dawid Dropinski was slow to take the kick. During this time Ekipa Damcia's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Rafaela FC's goalie and right to Tymoteusz Serwach. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Rafaela FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ekipa Damcia's Giancarlo Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Dolfo in the 58th minute of play. Giancarlo Donnarumma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bienvenido Largacha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Bienvenido Largacha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giancarlo Donnarumma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rafaela FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
