The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Los Delfines's attentive Hilario Asteri managed to snatch the ball when Torgny Söderman made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. Casimiro Ugutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the game, Torgny Söderman threw the ball into play from the sideline. Los Delfines's Ruperto Theobald quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 31st minute, Casimiro Ugutz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruy Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Burutzagi having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Montel got free with Gualterio Burutzagi in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Fausto Montel put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gualterio Burutzagi. Torgny Söderman got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ezequiel Novaes. After 47 minutes of play, Los Delfines's Dalmacio Etxatxu made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 김 담 was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Montel was the one to do the kick off.
