Luiz Fabiano Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Yuri Alberto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 20 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho da Silveira. Osvaldo Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Queirós in the 22nd minute of play. Igor Coronado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Edvaldo Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Félix Torres. In the 29th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Queirós to maneuver through the defense. MAZER SAF's Osvaldo Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Queirós in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Coronado in the 39th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Edvaldo Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Abraão. In the 46th minute Celsinho da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When MAZER SAF's Igor Coronado in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SORRISO E. C.'s goalie prevented a goal. 53 minutes into the game, MAZER SAF's Yuri Alberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvaldo Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. SORRISO E. C.'s Edvaldo Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Alberto in the 59th minute of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Igor Coronado sped through SORRISO E. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edvaldo Leal. Leopoldo Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. MAZER SAF's Félix Torres got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Félix Torres off the ground. After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Félix Torres got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Artur Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdomiro Amorim hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Edvaldo Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Coronado, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Yuri Alberto got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MAZER SAF fans cheered their team off the field, for while SORRISO E. C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
