The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Filip Fikus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Inter Sibiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filip Fikus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Hilario Ibanez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gică Costandache in the 8th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, FC Inter Sibiu's Filip Fikus made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilario Ibanez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute Anier Seme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Cositorto hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Hilario Ibanez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Fikus in the 23rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Fikus in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilario Ibanez saved A.F Cuervos Azulgranas from getting behind. In the 29thth minute of the game Filip Fikus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Hilario Ibanez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the match, FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beto Acosta. 45 minutes into the match, Beto Acosta notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC Inter Sibiu's Sebastián Sosa. Sebastián Sosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The wind increased when Beto Acosta made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Tino in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 played minutes A.F Cuervos Azulgranas got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Rodriguez. Filip Fikus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Hilario Ibanez made a huge save. Sebastián Sosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Cositorto in the 59th minute of play. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Baristo in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, A.F Cuervos Azulgranas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uli Krutten to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Filip Fikus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Ibanez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froilan Otsando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilario Ibanez made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Filip Fikus sent off a good shot on target. If Filip Fikus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Tino in the 84th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Inter Sibiu's Mircea Lipan got a free kick in the 85th minute. Filip Fikus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hilario Ibanez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Fikus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Hilario Ibanez made a huge save. The FC Inter Sibiu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Inter Sibiu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
