Radoman Karaičić might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pierce MaCollin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radoman Karaičić ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13th minute, Brenden Lester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Powerstown's Pierce MaCollin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radoman Karaičić in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Radoman Karaičić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierce MaCollin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierce MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radoman Karaičić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes Powerstown's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miroslav Kulić who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Sima Ignjatović drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind Powerstown's goalkeeper. In the 23rd match minute, Thornhill City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siniša Ognjanović to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Radoman Karaičić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pierce MaCollin was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Radoman Karaičić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pierce MaCollin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Radoman Karaičić showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match, Miroslav Kulić tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pierce MaCollin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 39th minute Brannon Hutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vidosav Joksimović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patton McSteve's late challenge caught a Thornhill City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patton McSteve helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Patton McSteve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th match minute, Powerstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmons McDecland to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Powerstown's zone, Zhuo Le Kun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierce MaCollin came out of the goal and Zhuo Le Kun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the game, Thornhill City's Zhuo Le Kun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pierce MaCollin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Sima Ignjatović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brannon Hutton in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vidosav Joksimović prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zhuo Le Kun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute, Zhuo Le Kun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thornhill City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhuo Le Kun in the 90th minute of play forced Powerstown's goalkeeper Pierce MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Powerstown's goalkeeper Pierce MaCollin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Zhuo Le Kun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierce MaCollin was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 96th match minute, Thornhill City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Bjelić to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Thornhill City fully deserved thier win.
