After 26 minutes, Atilano Paublo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taiwan Engineers Company and the East Tokyo United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Atilano Paublo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Armando Nicolini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Lucero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmund Vaik's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Taiwan Engineers Company's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arsenio Tibalt ran over to the corner to take the kick. East Tokyo United's Rivaldo Brasil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raul Lucero in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, East Tokyo United's Marcelo Toribio got control of the ball when Benjamín Rollheiser tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raul Lucero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmund Vaik in the 39th minute of the match. Robin Hood struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Raul Lucero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for East Tokyo United. Armando Nicolini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Raul Lucero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benjamín Rollheiser was the one to do the kick off. Edmund Vaik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Raul Lucero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edmund Vaik took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Lucero. Raul Lucero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Edmund Vaik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Raul Lucero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Edmund Vaik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmund Vaik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raul Lucero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Krailerk Chainet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Lucero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmund Vaik's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Krailerk Chainet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Toribio having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Edmund Vaik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Lucero was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Benjamín Rollheiser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmund Vaik in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raul Lucero saved Taiwan Engineers Company from getting behind. 79 minutes into the match, Robin Hood had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raul Lucero. Taiwan Engineers Company's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robin Hood was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 81st minute, Robin Hood left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The East Tokyo United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 87 minutes, Armando Nicolini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Tokyo United and the Taiwan Engineers Company players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 minutes, Edmund Vaik made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Taiwan Engineers Company's Raul Lucero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
