When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ekialde Nadal sped through Red Dragon FC - DMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adilson de Amorim. Bruno Egoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Maicon Abreu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Robinho Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Dean Grieve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Felenak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes Red Dragon FC - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Honorio Carceles who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Axel Uplegger got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adilson de Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ekialde Nadal kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Adilson de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Carceles in the 41st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrianinho Ramos got free with Dean Grieve in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Red Dragon FC - DMZ booed when PERSPOLIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dean Grieve was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Ganix to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Maicon Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Grieve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maicon Abreu in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dean Grieve prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 57 played minutes Red Dragon FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Paraíba. Honorio Carceles was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Abreu in the 60th minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Dean Grieve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PERSPOLIS's Dean Grieve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Abreu in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Felenak in the 65th minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Dean Grieve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Red Dragon FC - DMZ got a corner. PERSPOLIS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Vítor Trevisan ran over to the corner to take the kick. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by PERSPOLIS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Vítor Trevisan was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Dragon FC - DMZ's players had a chance to rest. Maicon Abreu got in the 87th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dean Grieve handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Red Dragon FC - DMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
