No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joacim Ahlerot to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonstorp FK's Arne Kilström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferenc van Nistelrooij in the 51st minute of play. S.João de Areias's Silvano Severo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Charlie Ström in the 58 minute of the game. In the 61st match minute, S.João de Areias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fatih Tekke to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of S.João de Areias booed when Jonstorp FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joacim Ahlerot didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.João de Areias's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
