The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Örsjö's Ronny Olenberg in the 2nd minute got a chance for a shot 2nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraná Clube PG's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Brask in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Mazza saved Paraná Clube PG from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Paraná Clube PG's Mazinho Valadares got a free kick in the 9th minute. Pedro Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Brask in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Stig-Arne Nord ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Mazza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Michael Bergman was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ernani Rosa. If Abderraouf Moussaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Rosa got free with Michael Bergman in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michael Bergman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abderraouf Moussaoui's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Michael Bergman was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Mazinho Valadares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mazinho Valadares really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Michael Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Marud in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Stig-Arne Nord shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Örsjö booed when Paraná Clube PG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abderraouf Moussaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fabian Brask came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Örsjö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Brask couldn't finish the play. Lukas Brandin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Pedro Mazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronny Olenberg's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Barnaba Marud made a precise shot to the right of Michael Bergman. Örsjö's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Paraná Clube PG's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Jerry Andreasson scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Mazza, making the score, 2-3. Michael Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Holz in the 60th minute of the match. Pedro Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Arne Nord, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Pedro Mazza had great luck who in the 63rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Ronny Olenberg from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 64th minute Örsjö were awarded a corner. Stig-Arne Nord went to the cornerflag to take it. Jerry Andreasson was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Michael Bergman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Marud, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paraná Clube PG's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stig-Arne Nord was slow to take the kick. During this time Örsjö's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Örsjö's Stig-Arne Nord to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Mazza despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Olenberg in the 81st minute of play forced Paraná Clube PG's goalkeeper Pedro Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Örsjö's Michael Bergman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Marud in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of Örsjö booed when Paraná Clube PG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Örsjö had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
