The audience was convinced that Gernando Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Gómez was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Gernando Azevedo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Gómez. Julio Gómez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Πυργετός Fc defense, Gernando Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Gómez. The Πυργετός Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Gómez should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gernando Azevedo in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Gómez saved Πυργετός Fc from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, Πυργετός Fc's goalkeeper Julio Gómez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Monteiro. Julio Gómez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fred Monteiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. In the 34th minute, Gernando Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gernando Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Gómez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rômulo de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ruy Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gernando Azevedo made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Gernando Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Julio Gómez. Πυργετός Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 62 minutes into the match, Gernando Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Gómez. Πυργετός Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gernando Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Rômulo de Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruy Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rômulo de Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Ruy Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo de Castro in the 64th minute of the match. If Arjen Robben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Πυργετός Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Azevedo came free, but Julio Gómez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gernando Azevedo took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Gómez. Julio Gómez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Luís Paulo do Nascimento was substituted for Fortunato Froněk. Luiz Eduardo Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gernando Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Gómez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. 86 minutes into the match, Πυργετός Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Azevedo came free, but Julio Gómez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Eduardo Brodel in the 89th minute. Rômulo de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ruy Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Πυργετός Fc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
