Güney Mengüalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Lukas in the 23rd minute of the match. Peter Steele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Ritchie, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Cirilo Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 31 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Ritchie came free, but Peter Steele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Pirani in the 32nd minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Güney Mengüalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Jack Lukas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güney Mengüalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Cirilo Ritchie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Steele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Güney Mengüalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Lukas in the 37th minute of play. Peter Steele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cirilo Ritchie went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

PALMEIRAS-UTAH made a substitution. Bailey Kerns replaced Jack Lukas. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Odysseas Voutsas to make the kick off. Arrecifes's Felipe Senon was substituted for Cirilo Ritchie. Felipe Senon might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Steele. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Senon ran back to his position shaking his head. Peter Steele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Senon in the 73rd minute of play. Felipe Senon struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Peter Steele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrecifes. PALMEIRAS-UTAH made a substitution. The audience was convinced that Felipe Senon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Steele was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 90th match minute, PALMEIRAS-UTAH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Musceleanu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odysseas Voutsas in the 93rd minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Güney Mengüalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
