After 6 minutes of play, Arrecifes's Cirilo Ritchie made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Otoniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Tancredo Hondaro came free, but Güney Mengüalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Otoniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Ritchie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Waldemar Korytkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Otoniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute Tancredo Hondaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güney Mengüalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Tancredo Hondaro took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Güney Mengüalp to make any attempt to save it. After 29 played minutes PiCaNTeS FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Precioso. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cirilo Ritchie in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Otoniel saved PiCaNTeS FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Arrecifes's Güney Mengüalp got control of the ball when Everardo Calvino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, Cirilo Ritchie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Otoniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Carlos Valderrama made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tancredo Hondaro immediately put the ball in play. Alfredo Otoniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cirilo Ritchie's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Cirilo Ritchie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tancredo Hondaro to strike the kick off in the second half. Cirilo Ritchie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Otoniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Tancredo Hondaro sped through Arrecifes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Güney Mengüalp. Sixto Ignazio charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sixto Ignazio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th match minute, PiCaNTeS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Ignazio to maneuver through the defense. PiCaNTeS FC made a substitution. Siro Urki replaced Sixto Ignazio. Arrecifes made a substitution. Enrique Gaur replaced Hipolito Laurendi. In the 70th minute, Arrecifes's Felipe Senon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. In the 76th minute Tancredo Hondaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güney Mengüalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The PiCaNTeS FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arrecifes's performance. The match ended with a win for Arrecifes.
