In the 12th minute Daniel Charlos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estudiantes de América's Maximo Dei managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Henric Granberg in the 20 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in liverbool fc's zone, Kraig Fred stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Ekman came out of the goal and Kraig Fred tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kraig Fred could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Simon Ekman made a huge save. In the last second Simon Ekman throw himself and got hold of the ball when Kraig Fred in the 30thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Kraig Fred's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simon Ekman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Daniel Charlos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estudiantes de América's Kraig Fred got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ciro Pirro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estudiantes de América's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Pirro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Ekman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kraig Fred in the 38th minute of play forced liverbool fc's goalkeeper Simon Ekman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. liverbool fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Kraig Fred scored to the left of an out of position Simon Ekman, making the score, 2-0. Kraig Fred's late challenge caught a liverbool fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kraig Fred helped the player get up and apologised. Kraig Fred kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Marcos Ranolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrzej Szarmach in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Frans Brovall hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Cornelio Ruisko notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of liverbool fc's Simon Ekman. Simon Ekman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Nilmar Marinho replaced Flavio Iraunkor. If Concetto Trasatti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Simon Ekman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Trasatti in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rdth minute of the game Concetto Trasatti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but liverbool fc's Simon Ekman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Concetto Trasatti in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simon Ekman saved liverbool fc from getting behind. When Estudiantes de América's Concetto Trasatti in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Simon Ekman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Simon Ekman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Concetto Trasatti's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute, Concetto Trasatti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estudiantes de América fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Concetto Trasatti in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simon Ekman saved liverbool fc from getting behind.
