After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Rune Grøndalen managed to get in a good position for a shot. NTA19's supporters rose to their feet, but Rune Grøndalen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nereo Raymon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rune Grøndalen in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nereo Raymon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rune Grøndalen might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nereo Raymon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Grøndalen ran back to his position shaking his head. Nereo Raymon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Grøndalen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nereo Raymon made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Rune Grøndalen sent off a good shot on target. After 24 minutes, Florencio Gonzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Papulote FC and the NTA19 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Papulote FC's Florencio Gonzo got a free kick in the 24th minute. Rune Grøndalen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nereo Raymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nereo Raymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Grøndalen in the 27th minute of play. When Rune Grøndalen came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the NTA19 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rune Grøndalen couldn't finish the play. Rune Grøndalen might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nereo Raymon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Grøndalen ran back to his position shaking his head. Leonardo Rozarius's late challenge caught a NTA19's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Rozarius helped the player get up and apologised. Leonardo Rozarius kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Rune Grøndalen might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nereo Raymon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Grøndalen ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Oidor in the 47th minute of play forced NTA19's goalkeeper Jan-Frode Aarseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The NTA19 fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when NTA19's Rune Tronstad looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rune Grøndalen might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nereo Raymon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Grøndalen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute Arnoldo Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Frode Aarseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Papulote FC's zone, Rune Tronstad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Raymon came out of the goal and Rune Tronstad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herminio Peli kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. NTA19 had won after a very even match.
