With his leg Fausto da Rocha managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when León FC's Galsino Barba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Galsino Barba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Galsino Barba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Fausto da Rocha made a huge save. Galsino Barba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 22 minutes into the match, AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Fausto da Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Galsino Barba. Fausto da Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! AFC - Curitiba's Jan Bykowski got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 played minutes León FC got a freekick which was hit by Máximo Pardo. In the 93rd minute, Silvio Asier fired a really elegant long shot, but Currito Torrente threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galsino Barba in the 96th minute of play forced AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Fausto da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. León FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
