C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basilio Garaona should have stopped the shot. Basilio Garaona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 22ndth minute of the game Jonas Domingues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lamarque F. C.'s Basilio Garaona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jano Gaúcho came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Basilio Garaona could save by the left post. In the 30th minute, Manfredo Bueno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estrela Futebol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Manfredo Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Basilio Garaona made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Basilio Garaona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfredo Bueno in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute Manfredo Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Garaona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Estrela Futebol Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
