After 5 minutes, Baltasar Bertin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cardiff City FC and the Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Baltasar Bertin kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Xencio Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Milko in the 10th minute of the match. Xencio Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Milko in the 11th minute of play. Julian Efraim charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Cristiano Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Efraim in the 29th minute of play. Xencio Millan came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Igor Milko. But to his dismay, Igor Milko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The corner ended in Vahit Ergüç almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cardiff City FC's Xencio Millan did a great save. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cardiff City FC's goalkeeper Xencio Millan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Cardiff City FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Julian Efraim hit a great ball. Xencio Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Milko, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Anacleto Adán managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Anacleto Adán was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xencio Millan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Julian Efraim made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Cardiff City FC's goalkeeper Xencio Millan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Milko. Cristiano Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Efraim in the 59th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Igor Milko made a precise shot to the right of Xencio Millan. Cardiff City FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 70 minutes into the match, Igor Milko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xencio Millan. Cardiff City FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Milko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With a little luck, Cardiff City FC's Xencio Millan got control of the ball when Igor Milko tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Igor Milko took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Xencio Millan to make any attempt to save it. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Dagoberto Moraes was substituted for Zé Carlos Madureira. Martien Jochemsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xencio Millan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cardiff City FC's Baltasar Bertin got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's attentive Soin Buisan managed to snatch the ball when Baltasar Bertin made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Cardiff City FC's Xencio Millan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Cardiff City FC from getting a goal against them. Martien Jochemsen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Xencio Millan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
