Bernabe Guib was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernabe Guib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Haedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Club Olimpia's Nelson Haedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernabe Guib made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Bernabe Guib didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelson Haedo went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Bernabe Guib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Haedo in the 18th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Nelson Haedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernabe Guib. After some careless play in the Pelotillehue defense, Nelson Haedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernabe Guib. The Pelotillehue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernabe Guib should have stopped the shot. Bernabe Guib didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelson Haedo went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. After 36 minutes of play, Club Olimpia's Nelson Haedo made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernabe Guib was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelson Haedo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernabe Guib saved Pelotillehue from getting behind. Pelotillehue's Bernabe Guib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Lidberg in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Olimpia's Roque Gora got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Club Olimpia's Faustino Ortle managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Delmar Olayo in the 45 minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-9 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rosendo Otsoa made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Nelson Haedo made it 0-10 with a short kick to the right side. Pelotillehue's Bernabe Guib tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernabe Guib didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roque Gora went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-11 was the resulting score. Nelson Haedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernabe Guib came out and tried to block the shot, but Nelson Haedo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-12 in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute, Nelson Haedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernabe Guib was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. Bernabe Guib was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nelson Haedo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 66 minute of play. With a little luck, Pelotillehue's Bernabe Guib got control of the ball when Nelson Haedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Pelotillehue defense, Roque Gora kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernabe Guib. The Pelotillehue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernabe Guib should have stopped the shot. Pelotillehue's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Roque Gora scored to the left of an out of position Bernabe Guib, making the score, 0-16. Bernabe Guib didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelson Haedo went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-17 was the resulting score. Bernabe Guib was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nelson Haedo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-18 in the 81 minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Pelotillehue's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Bueldi came free, but Bernabe Guib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Nelson Haedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nelson Haedo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 91stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Bernabe Guib would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After having played for 94 minutes, Edmund Lidberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Olimpia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmund Lidberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lluques Butron hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
