The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdinando Di Camillo got free with Godfried Van Gertsuyden in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Coriano FC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Wils FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dino Baciadonne took the corner. Dino Baciadonne made a great header on Coriano FC's corner, it was just that Wils FC's Godfried Van Gertsuyden managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 45th minute Etienne Van Achteren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Puce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Wils FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Roland Pluijssens hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Edwin Koppen made the kick off in the second half. Coriano FC's Beppe Puce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald De Messemaeckre in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Bryan Grootaers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Puce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Melone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Godfried Van Gertsuyden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Baciadonne might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godfried Van Gertsuyden. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dino Baciadonne ran back to his position shaking his head. Godfried Van Gertsuyden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Baciadonne, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Coriano FC's Beppe Puce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald De Messemaeckre in the 61st minute of play. Wils FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lorenz Van Deijck in the 68th minute. After taking down the ball on Wils FC's corner Harald De Messemaeckre fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Beppe Puce quite easily take care of the ball. The Wils FC fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Wils FC's Harald De Messemaeckre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The corner led Wils FC's Harald De Messemaeckre to fire away a dangerous shot which Beppe Puce despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Coriano FC's Corrado Baciadonne was substituted for Ferdinando Di Camillo. In the 86th minute, Wils FC's Etienne Van Achteren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. With an all-out effort, Wils FC's Beppe Puce threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Etienne Van Achteren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Beppe Puce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Van Dijck in the 91st minute of the match. After 92 minutes, Hatemi Egeli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coriano FC and the Wils FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hatemi Egeli hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Wils FC's Lorenz Van Deijck broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Wils FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wils FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
