Hélio Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestoras Soulidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Henk Latomme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Charis Raftopoulos made a huge save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konstantinos Tsevas couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Michel Bagge got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Nestoras Soulidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélio Gomes was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Ibai Llanos's late challenge caught a Tocantinópolis EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ibai Llanos helped the player get up and apologised. Henk Latomme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Charis Raftopoulos made a huge save. Dorian de Brito's late challenge caught a Vakoufi Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélio Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Barrionuevo in the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Vakoufi Utd booed when Tocantinópolis EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélio Gomes made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Danilo Barrionuevo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestoras Soulidis in the 56th minute of play forced Tocantinópolis EC's goalkeeper Hélio Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélio Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Chago in the 66th minute of play. When Tocantinópolis EC's Henk Latomme in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Tocantinópolis EC were victorious despite being under pressure from Vakoufi Utd for much of the match.
