In the 28th minute Brent-Jan Van de cauter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Baleren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Freddy Socorro fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riquelme 10's protests and gave Freddy Socorro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Riquelme 10 getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Freddy Socorro hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Riquelme 10's Freddy Socorro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hudson Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Freddy Socorro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The throw-in from Leopoldo Pirmin in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GentFC's Dominik Ackermans. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Riquelme 10's goalkeeper Arnulfo Baleren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

If Sebastian Zyskowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hudson Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pichichi in the 55th minute of play. Arnulfo Baleren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brent-Jan Van de cauter, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 63 minutes into the match, GentFC's goal looked a bit too open when 陈益霖 came free, but Hudson Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Riquelme 10 getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Camilo Lluc hit a great ball. Leopoldo Pirmin's late challenge caught a GentFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Pirmin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Riquelme 10's Leopoldo Pirmin got a free kick in the 78th minute. The supporters of Riquelme 10 booed when GentFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Mergea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, GentFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Hjortberg to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes, Riquelme 10's 陈益霖 shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hudson Costa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Riquelme 10 reached it. Arnulfo Baleren made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Brent-Jan Van de cauter sent off a good shot on target. Arnulfo Baleren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 史永浩, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freddy Socorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brent-Jan Van de cauter in the 92nd minute of play forced Riquelme 10's goalkeeper Arnulfo Baleren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Nistor Mirea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferdinand Mergea's late challenge caught a Riquelme 10's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
