The audience thought a goal was coming when Clarence Seedorf got free with Rolando Merexildo in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Merexildo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgard Dubardo in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Clarence Seedorf could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Rolando Merexildo however easily saved by the left post. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erling Mattsson in the 23rd minute. Erling Mattsson made a great header on PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's corner, it was just that PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo managed to reach the ball for a save. PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ture Rosendahl in the 38th minute of play. PGE FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Caio Silveira scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Merexildo, making the score, 3-1. In the 41st minute, Caio Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 48th minute of the match, Edgard Dubardo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rolando Merexildo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Rolando Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ture Rosendahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apolo Herensuge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Gauargi in the 60th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Odon got free with Apolo Herensuge in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. João Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Merexildo having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
