The crowd rose to their feet as Benficajuvestars's Jerry Nykvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mazinho Fernandez. That made the score 3-0 after 23 minutes of play. Jerry Nykvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Fernandez having to interfere. André Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mazinho Fernandez having to make a save. In the 37th minute, one of HELVETIA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for HELVETIA. The crowd rose to their feet as Benficajuvestars's Jerry Nykvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mazinho Fernandez. That made the score 5-0 after 45 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Fernando Vergílio made a kick off. Mazinho Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Nykvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the HELVETIA defense, Jerry Nykvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazinho Fernandez. The HELVETIA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazinho Fernandez should have stopped the shot. HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 魏常适 in the 62nd minute of play. Dário Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Luís Fernando Vergílio took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Patrício. Rui Patrício dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. In the 95thth minute of the game André Guimarães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benficajuvestars walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
