Dirk Toeback did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Válbson Sergipano 35 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, RWDM's goal looked a bit too open when Dénes Ábrahám came free, but Tony Vandenberge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Ernesto Rossetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Vandenberge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benê Bittencourt made a great header on Mazomba SC's corner, it was just that RWDM's Tony Vandenberge managed to reach the ball for a save. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dirk Toeback stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dirk Toeback's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válbson Sergipano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
