The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paw Kartin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Cassiano Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Refsgårde IF's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Teves came free, but Sigfrid Vejmand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When GD Fiães's Telmo Teves, in the 12th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for GD Fiães. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Teves in the 16th minute of play forced Refsgårde IF's goalkeeper Sigfrid Vejmand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Maurício Câmara notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Refsgårde IF's Sigfrid Vejmand. Sigfrid Vejmand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sigfrid Vejmand came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by GD Fiães's Telmo Teves. But to his dismay, Telmo Teves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício Câmara in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sigfrid Vejmand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, Refsgårde IF's Marc Rulle dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Marc Rulle kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Telmo Teves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sigfrid Vejmand. Refsgårde IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Telmo Teves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marc Rulle during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo Teves in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sigfrid Vejmand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 50 minutes into the match, Maurício Câmara notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Refsgårde IF's Sigfrid Vejmand. Sigfrid Vejmand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Refsgårde IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GD Fiães were winning 1-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc Rulle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Brites in the 57th minute of play forced Refsgårde IF's goalkeeper Sigfrid Vejmand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigfrid Vejmand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Câmara's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The supporters of GD Fiães booed when Refsgårde IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åge Kinnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sigfrid Vejmand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Teves, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurício Câmara in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sigfrid Vejmand saved Refsgårde IF from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Telmo Teves managed to get in a good position for a shot. GD Fiães's supporters rose to their feet, but Telmo Teves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigfrid Vejmand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Refsgårde IF's Marc Rulle got a free kick in the 68th minute. When GD Fiães's Maurício Câmara in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Refsgårde IF's goalie prevented a goal. After 71 minutes Refsgårde IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Telmo Teves who took care of the corner kick. The corner led GD Fiães's Rubim Falcão to fire away a dangerous shot which Sigfrid Vejmand despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Telmo Teves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Sigfrid Vejmand when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Câmara in the 74th minute of play forced Refsgårde IF's goalkeeper Sigfrid Vejmand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GD Fiães made a substitution. Adão Anjos replaced Maurício Câmara. In the 82nd minute, Marc Rulle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Refsgårde IF's Sigfrid Vejmand got control of the ball when Telmo Teves tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Refsgårde IF's goalkeeper Sigfrid Vejmand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Telmo Teves. Telmo Teves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sigfrid Vejmand having to make a save. After 96 played minutes Refsgårde IF got a freekick which was hit by Benni Sveidahl. The GD Fiães supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GD Fiães would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
