Manchester United F.C.'s Maciej Karbowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Panaitescu in the 4th minute of play. Manchester United F.C.'s Mateusz Wachna came free and shot a quick shot against goal 6 minutes in the game, fortunately Dacian Ecobescu had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Mateusz Wachna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Dacian Ecobescu made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Old Boys's zone, Mateusz Wachna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dacian Ecobescu came out of the goal and Mateusz Wachna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mateusz Wachna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Old Boys's Dacian Ecobescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateusz Wachna in the 12th minute of play. Maciej Karbowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Văduvescu in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th match minute, Manchester United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Smuskiewicz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateusz Wachna in the 19th minute of play forced Old Boys's goalkeeper Dacian Ecobescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Mateusz Wachna notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Old Boys's Dacian Ecobescu. Dacian Ecobescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kajetan Huk kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Maciej Karbowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Văduvescu in the 24th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gelu Feraru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maciej Karbowski was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After 26 played minutes Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Văduvescu. 32 minutes into the game, Old Boys's Gelu Feraru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maciej Karbowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 37th minute, Gelu Feraru made a precise shot to the right of Maciej Karbowski. Manchester United F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Emilian Văduvescu's late challenge caught a Manchester United F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Manchester United F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Old Boys were winning 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gelu Feraru was the one to do the kick off. Adam Szel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Ecobescu having to interfere. Mateusz Wachna might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dacian Ecobescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateusz Wachna ran back to his position shaking his head. Mădălin Stoica charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mădălin Stoica the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Old Boys getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Mădălin Stoica hit a great ball. After 59 minutes Old Boys's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adam Szel who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Adam Szel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dacian Ecobescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sever Podgoreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilian Văduvescu took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maciej Karbowski. Maciej Karbowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 66th minute, Cornel Panaitescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maciej Karbowski. The goal made the score 1-4. Dacian Ecobescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Szel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Old Boys's Emilian Văduvescu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Mateusz Wachna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dacian Ecobescu was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 73rdth minute of the game Mateusz Wachna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Old Boys's Dacian Ecobescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maciej Karbowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Feraru in the 74th minute of play. Emilian Văduvescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maciej Karbowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilian Văduvescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Maciej Karbowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilian Văduvescu in the 77th minute. Gelu Feraru took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maciej Karbowski. Maciej Karbowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 82nd minute, Gelu Feraru made a precise shot to the right of Maciej Karbowski. Manchester United F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. In the 88th match minute, Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mădălin Stoica to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Gelu Feraru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maciej Karbowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. Gelu Feraru was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 97th minute. Old Boys's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Gelu Feraru received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maciej Karbowski came out and tried to block the shot, but Gelu Feraru slotted it home off the left post making it 1-9 in the 97th minute. The Manchester United F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Old Boys were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
