Michel Santos struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Ali Orhan Tuncer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for APOELHELLAS. In the 15th minute Lykaon Belesis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Orhan Tuncer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Michel Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ali Orhan Tuncer. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. In the 20th minute, Lykaon Belesis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Orhan Tuncer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, APOELHELLAS's goal looked a bit too open when Balamir Ünlüol came free, but Tobias Øverland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias Øverland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alptuğ Boğataş in the 25th minute of play. Ali Orhan Tuncer made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Lykaon Belesis sent off a good shot on target. Michel Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Orhan Tuncer having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Lykaon Belesis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Orhan Tuncer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Santos made a great header on APOELHELLAS's corner, it was just that MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's Ali Orhan Tuncer managed to reach the ball for a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Santos to make the kick off. Tobias Øverland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balamir Ünlüol in the 54th minute. Tobias Øverland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Ali Orhan Tuncer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lykaon Belesis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobias Øverland made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Balamir Ünlüol sent off a good shot on target. Ali Orhan Tuncer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Santos in the 69th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lykaon Belesis came free, but Ali Orhan Tuncer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the MAVİ İSTANBUL FC defense, Michel Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Orhan Tuncer. The MAVİ İSTANBUL FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Orhan Tuncer should have stopped the shot. Makareus Poulakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of APOELHELLAS booed when MAVİ İSTANBUL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Sedat Nasreddin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aglauros Sakellariou in the 89th minute of play forced MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's goalkeeper Ali Orhan Tuncer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Balamir Ünlüol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Øverland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's Ali Orhan Tuncer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Makareus Poulakis in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute Makareus Poulakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Orhan Tuncer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. MAVİ İSTANBUL FC may have spent more time on the ball, but APOELHELLAS were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
