When Cristian Garnelo came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the C&H 1964 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Garnelo couldn't finish the play. Cristian Garnelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marian Podgoreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Cristian Garnelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C&H 1964's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Garnelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Podgoreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marian Podgoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Garnelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st match minute, C&H 1964 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrfingur Edgarsson to maneuver through the defense. Marian Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Garnelo in the 24th minute of the match. Marian Podgoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Garnelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Garnelo in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Podgoreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Marian Podgoreanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brais Cota. C&H 1964 were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristian Garnelo took the corner. C&H 1964's Cristian Garnelo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marian Podgoreanu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrfingur Edgarsson in the 33rd minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Marian Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Garnelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Podgoreanu having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 2-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Nerio Trincado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, C&H 1964's Tyrfingur Edgarsson got a free kick in the 42nd minute. When Iacob Praporgescu came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iacob Praporgescu couldn't finish the play. C&H 1964's Nerio Trincado suffered a sore thigh after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Mihai Odobescu fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's protests and gave Mihai Odobescu a yellow card for diving instead. C&H 1964 made a substitution. Iratxo Calle replaced Nerio Trincado. The supporters of C&H 1964 booed when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihai Odobescu didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Marian Podgoreanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64thth minute of the game Cristian Garnelo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Marian Podgoreanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Garnelo came free, but Marian Podgoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Iratxo Calle sped through FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marian Podgoreanu. 73 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Garnelo came free, but Marian Podgoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Garnelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marian Podgoreanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Garnelo ran back to his position shaking his head. C&H 1964's Iratxo Calle got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. C&H 1964 made a substitution. Rencio Diez replaced Gene Simmons. Marian Podgoreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Garnelo's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 87th minute, Tyrfingur Edgarsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marian Podgoreanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Iulian Bucurescu got a throw-in 92 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Iacob Praporgescu. 97 minutes into the game, C&H 1964's Tyrfingur Edgarsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marian Podgoreanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C&H 1964 fully deserved thier win.
