An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Patrício Leme got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marco Bülow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petruț Miulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Portugal in the 67th minute of play forced Branca's goalkeeper Jacob Ventura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lusos Crew were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Branca's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line.
