Christoph Van den Berch succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. A collision led to SK Mons getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Bogumil Czapski hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Trevor Eubank to make the kick off.
