A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Dacian Ghițescu hit a great ball. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Valer Onișoru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from getting a goal against them. After having played for 14 minutes, Nistor Vermeşan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nistor Vermeşan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moise Ţurlău might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Siro Argina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moise Ţurlău ran back to his position shaking his head. Samuhi's Israel Ovando suffered a concussion in the 15th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silver Phoenix during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Samuhi booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silver Phoenix didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Valer Onișoru got control of the ball when Efrain Enol tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Epifanio Cristofor got free with Valer Onișoru in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Samuhi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Siro Argina should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Iban came free, but Valer Onișoru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Valer Onișoru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Efrain Enol. In the 40th minute, Moise Ţurlău got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Omar Iban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Valer Onișoru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moise Ţurlău made a kick off. With a little luck, Samuhi's Siro Argina got control of the ball when Nistor Vermeşan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rdth minute of the game Moise Ţurlău who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samuhi's Siro Argina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaudencio Valerio during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Samuhi got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Valerio. The supporters of Samuhi booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Stroe didn't get a good kick on the ball. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Moise Ţurlău got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nistor Vermeşan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iulian Stroe charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iulian Stroe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 92 minutes into the game, Samuhi's Omar Iban nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valer Onișoru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
